We may have first connected on okcupid.com, but our first encounter occurred in an Ocean Beach parking lot. David says Miki almost ran him over, Miki swears he was clearly a safe distance away. Regardless, we immediately hit it off over beer and pizza and a USA world cup soccer game.

The next date in our sequence of events is 8/16... and the engagement came right on schedule. David sent Miki and her mom off to the Hilton for glorious 80-minute massages, and then surprised Miki by gathering all of our parents to help celebrate the engagement.
